Academics talk about Harry Potter

This info appeared on our Libraries’ news blog, but just in case you don’t read that, I’m repeating here…

Two K-State professors have published books about HP and teach a class here! Too cool! Next Saturday, July 21, they are being interviewed by a Kansas City public radio station.

K-State English Department Head Karin Westman (J.K. Rowling’s Library: Harry Potter in Context) and Associate Professor of English Philip Nell (J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Novels: A Reader’s Guide) will appear on on a show called Up to Date. They will be discussing possible endings for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and musing on reasons for Harry’s continued popularity.

Up to Date with Steve Kraske airs at 11:00am on KCUR 89.3FM. You can pick up a podcast or audio archive of the show on KCUR’s web site.

They also have done a couple of podcasts here discussing HP.
