My kids are spending Christmas afternoon & evening with their significant others’ families so I thought it would be nice if we did a Christmas brunch. I have an old breakfast casserole with eggs, sausage, cheese and bread (forget low cholesterol right now!) that I’m going to make. I looked around for other dishes that might compliment the casserole and found a recipe for asiago scones, which sound delicious. (Speaking of del.icio.us…. I’m tagging some of the interesting recipes I’ve come across!) I’ve never made scones before so I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I have ingredients to make a baked French toast, too, so I’ll do that one up since eggs don’t sit well with one of the kids. That is supposed to sit overnight before baking so I’ll get that made up later today along with a fruit bowl. I still have to make one stop at the grocery store for the cheese… how did I manage to forget that!
